Bio & Statement
Justin Winn Crow is a multidisciplinary landscape artist based in Hobble Creek Canyon, Utah.
With the western landscape as his primary muse, Crow uses the camera to approach the West's gritty, elemental personality, capturing the timeless, expansive impressions of the untamed landscape.
His work contrasts the human spirit against the scale of nature; what remains is stripped of distraction — sacred, still, and contemplative.
Inspired by William Henry Jackson, Edward Curtis, and Ansel Adams, Crow has spent over two decades learning to translate these sacred spaces into photographs that invite the viewer into feelings of something greater than themselves.
"My object is to extract the eternal from the ephemeral."
